BSP Threaded Metal Cable Gland

The BSP threaded metal cable gland is indicated for more robust connections due to the depth of the wires used, allowing more safety in cases of vibration or pressure.

This thread model (known as British Standard Pipe or Whitworth Gas) they are of English origin and have a parallel shape that better resists pressure.

They have a constant diameter between the threads and we can find this measurement represented by the letter G in some catalogs. It is important to highlight that they are described in inches, for example:

  • ¾ – Nominal size;
  • 14 = Pitch (thread threads);
  • BSP = parallel type;
  • They can be called BSP 3/4 or G 3 / 4.
  • The metallic line presents resistance mechanical superior to plastic cable glands.
